Terms of use

YallaTaleem (yallataleem.com and the app at yallataleem.com/app) is a product of Wulft3c LLC, a Tennessee company based in Nashville ("we", "us"). By creating a family account you agree to these terms. We wrote them in plain language on purpose; if anything is unclear, email hello@yallataleem.com before you sign up.

1. Who can open an account

A family account is opened and owned by an adult (18 or older) — a parent, guardian, teacher or adult learner. Children use YallaTaleem only through a learner profile inside an adult's account; they never create accounts themselves. You are responsible for your account, your parent PIN and the learner codes, and for everyone who uses them.

2. What you get

A family account includes up to five learner profiles and every subject we publish while your plan is active — today Arabic, with more subjects added over time. Lessons, audio, images and the way the app works are ours (or licensed to us); you may use them for your family's own learning and for nothing else: no copying, reselling, scraping or building a competing product from them.

3. Beta, trials and payment

• Founding price. Families who subscribe before our second subject (Quran) launches pay the founding price shown at checkout, and that price does not go up for as long as their subscription stays active without interruption. Families who join later pay the standard price shown at that time.
• Free trial. New subscriptions start with a free trial (the length is shown at checkout). You can cancel during the trial and pay nothing.
• Subscription. After the trial, the plan you chose (monthly or yearly) renews automatically at the price shown at checkout until you cancel. Prices include every subject we publish during your subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Cancelling. Cancel any time from the parent area ("Manage billing"). Your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for; we do not refund partial months or partial years, so please use the free trial to decide.
• Price changes. If a price changes, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you.
• Classroom licenses for schools and masajid are agreed separately in writing.

4. Children and the microphone

YallaTaleem is built for children, so we keep what we collect about them to a minimum: a first name or nickname, a color, a code and learning progress — all entered or earned inside the parent's account. The microphone is used only to check pronunciation: speech is processed by your browser's or device's speech service (for example Google's or Apple's) and we do not receive or store recordings. Our privacy page has the details, and parents can delete a learner or the whole family at any time.

5. Fair use

Do not share your account outside your family or classroom, try to break into other accounts, overload or attack the service, upload anything harmful, or use the app to harass anyone. We may suspend or close accounts that do, and we may remove learner names that are abusive.

6. What we promise and what we don't

We work hard to keep YallaTaleem accurate, kind and available, but it is provided "as is": it may be down for maintenance, speech recognition may mishear a child, and lessons may contain mistakes we fix as we find them. YallaTaleem supports learning at home; it is not a school, a certification or a religious authority. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

7. Ending the service

You can close your account any time (email us or use the parent area). We may close accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut YallaTaleem down, we will give paying families at least 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid time beyond the shutdown date.

8. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date above and, for changes that matter, email the account owner before they apply. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
